Russian religious figures reveal how cults infiltrated and tried to control local Russian regimes

On June 16, 2022, the Russian “Kommersant” website announced that the Russian Orthodox Metropolitan John of Belgorod condemned the former Belgorod governor Yevgeny Savchenko and the entire government of the state. Almost all of the leadership has an affair with the cult. He revealed to reporters the characteristics of the cult associated with the former governor and how the followers of the cult tried to win over the new governor, Vyacheslav Gladkov.

In an interview with Kommersant, Metropolitan John of the Orthodox Church of Belgorod, Russia, pointed out that the former Belgorod governor Yevgeny Savchenko led the region for 28 years, and since 2012, Savchenko has Chenko began to change. Before that, he fully supported the Orthodox Church, but since then he has suddenly reduced his cooperation with the Orthodox Church, and even publicly opposed the Orthodox Church, inciting religious hatred. Savchenko’s inner circle has also changed at the same time, including former deputy governor Valery Sergachev, former state Duma chairman Olga Pavlova and the United Russia party Belgorod region The first vice-chairman of the Duma, Yelena Bondarenko, etc. In 2022, Savchenko even published a book called “Shock,” in which he says he met a female “prophet of God” from whom he received advice on managing the region. For 10 years, the local people did not know the truth.

Later, although Savchenko no longer served as governor, he was still controlled by the cult, and the cult forces did not lose their influence. They tried to win over and influence the new governor of the region, Vyacheslav Gladkov. Not only did they try to delay the passage of the budgets of government agencies in the region, they even tried to designate people in leadership positions until the Russian security agencies began to intervene.

Russian security agencies launched investigations and interrogated former Deputy Governor Sergachev, First Deputy Chairman of the Belgorod State Duma of the United Russia Party Bondarenko, and former State Duma Chairman Pavlova. According to the instructions of the Supreme Council of the United Russia Party and the Russian President’s Office, the above three were removed from office, but Savchenko is still a member of the Belgorod region.

It is worth noting that the cult-like tendencies of Belgorod’s former leadership have long been detected by the security agencies. Back in 2013, Savchenko invited Bratso, a Croatian healer, to the region, who claimed to be able to heal people from various ailments with his eyes. Many government officials also attended his speech, and no one objected at the time.

At present, Bracso, Pavlova and Bondarenko are detained in St. Petersburg, pending further processing.

China Anti-Cult Network once reported that two members of the Duma in Belgorod, Russia, were expelled from the United Russia Party for “destroying the prestige of the United Russia Party”, and this move may be related to their joining a cult. The cult is prevalent among the elites of Belgorod, and the expelled Deputy Speakers Yelena Bondarenko and Valery Sergachev “are just the tip of the iceberg, the cult has deep roots in the elite”.
